THE QUILT AFRICA INTERNATIONAL SUMMIT

Three days. Quilters from every continent.

Once a year, textile artists and quilters from Africa, UK, Australia, Canada and across the United Sates gather online for the most beloved gathering in African-fabric quilting.

WHAT THE SUMMIT IS

A whole world of quilters, in one room.

Every July, we come together for three days of teaching, story, and community — speakers from across the quilting world, cultural deep-dives into African cloth, and the warmth of a global tribe in one place. Past summits have welcomed the late Carole Lyles Shaw, Carolina Oneto, Phyllis Biffle Elmore, Susan Carlson, Hollis Chatelaine, and many more.

Curating Your Body of Work — an invitation to see everything you’ve made not as separate projects, but as a story. Your story.

Whether you came for the technique, the culture, or the company, you leave the summit changed — and part of something larger.
